I heart Comcast. (Again.)
Well, internet and cable had been down completely for 2 days. Only channels I had were 2, 4, 5, and 8. Fox was out completely. No internet; therefore I could not make the team meeting usually held online Monday nights at 8pm and had to send a panicky email Tuesday morning at work.
Called Comcast Monday night; got the usual recording, "we are experiencing service outages in the following areas," etc. etc. Held on to speak to a nice young lady who said yes my area was specifically affected and if it still was not up the next day, to call back. It still was not up as of 6pm Tuesday night.
Called back and got Vincent; he said that out of 117 people in my service area only 3 did not have service and two of them were in the apartment complex down the road. I told him there was a slightly delinquent bill, but he said that was not the problem and that he would send someone out to investigate. Got home tonight (Wednesday) after work and YAY MY INTERNET IS BACK !!! No clue as to what was wrong or how it was fixed. I just know my family will not now go insane.
